Project Estimator
Job Description
Longhorn Buildings is looking for a detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. In this role you will work closely with our sales team and customers to develop accurate project estimates and material takeoffs for agricultural, commercial, and residential post-frame builds.
Position Responsibilities
The Project Estimator is responsible for reviewing project specs, developing detailed cost estimates, and working alongside the sales team to present accurate and competitive proposals to customers. You will play a key role in keeping projects on budget and on schedule from the planning stage forward.
Position Requirements
- Prior experience in construction estimating or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret building plans
- Working knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs
- Proficient in basic computer software and estimating tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
